From the ring to the bigger picture
Our Story
The Man Behind the Gimmick started with one simple idea: tell the stories people never get to hear.
What began as stories from years spent inside the world of professional wrestling eventually became The Man Behind the Gimmick books — honest, personal stories about life in and out of the ring, the people met along the way, and everything that happens after the lights go down and the show is over.
But the story didn’t stop with the books.
Those stories created conversations. The conversations created an audience. And before long, we realized there were countless other people, personalities, businesses, and stories that deserved the same opportunity to be seen and heard.
That idea became The Man Behind the Gimmick Productions.
Today, MBTG is growing into a multimedia production company focused on storytelling, professional wrestling, interviews, promotional content, photography, video production, podcasts, animation, and original entertainment.
At the heart of everything we do is still the same thing that started it all: the story behind the person everyone thinks they already know.
Because behind every character, every business, every performer, and every gimmick — there’s a story.

Danny Ice
Danny Ice is the founder and creative force behind The Man Behind the Gimmick Productions.
Drawing on more than twenty-five years in professional wrestling and his experience as an author and storyteller, Danny leads MBTG’s creative direction and turns real experiences into books, videos, podcasts, and original productions.
Director of Social Media & Community Engagement
Linzee Wyld
Linzee helps shape the daily voice of MBTG and keeps the audience connected to the people, stories, and projects behind the brand.
She brings personality, heart, and a fan-first perspective to MBTG’s social platforms, helping each production reach the people who will connect with it most.
Director of Video Production
Travis Shelton
Travis helps bring MBTG’s stories to life on screen, guiding the visual side of our productions from the shoot through the final edit.
With a strong creative eye and a passion for professional wrestling and storytelling, he plays a key role in shaping video content that feels authentic, polished, and true to the people behind it.
Travis is also the founder of Get Over Productions, bringing his own production experience and creative vision to every MBTG project.

Meet Fabian K.
Nobody at MBTG remembers hiring him. He just showed up backstage with a headset, a cape, an MBTG championship belt, and a battered briefcase marked “MBTG Secret to Success.”
Fabian K. claims he has uncovered the formula behind every great story and every unforgettable show. His plan is simple: reveal it, sell it, and finally cash in. The only problem is that somebody from the MBTG team always catches him before he gets the case open.
Whether he is helping the crew, creating chaos, or whispering his latest deal to anyone who will listen, Fabian has become part of the family. He represents the same spirit behind MBTG itself—small ideas, big shows, bigger plans, and just enough trouble to keep things interesting.

Founded during the pandemic in 2020, Falls Count Everywhere continues to grow every year. Its co-hosts bring years of combined industry experience as in-ring workers, a manager, and a color commentator.
